It is just the usb > keyboard and mouse/trackball that I am thinking about Can you clarify what the "front panel" uses? Does it incorporate MPGs and buttons in addition to the USB keyboard / trackball? My lathe has a touchscreen, most control switches and over-rides are wired direct to a 7i84, but I have a 7i73 mounted in the lathe apron to handle the limit/home switch inputs and the two MPGs + increment knob mounted on the apron, mainly to simplify the wiring. The mill is similar, but without the 7i73 [1] Both machines have a bluetooth keyboard that is kept turned off and in a drawer / holster as they are not required for normal use. (this sort of thng https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rii-RT-MWK02-Multifunction-Rechargable-Black/dp/B00SSMD0U4 ) [1] Actually the mill _does_ have a 7i73. massively underutilised to read the single MPG that the "Touchy" interface requires. But that is only because I have more than the average number of Mesa cards lying about, and a slightly odd hardware config. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
