Right now it is linuxcnc for lathe and mill.

A variant of LinuxCNC called Machinekit is often used with the BeagleBone and CRAMPS board to run 3-D printers. Some people are using it with 5-axis mills. I know that several tube benders have been built. One of my customers is in Brazil and uses LinuxCNC to run a screen printing machine (there's a YouTube video of it). Recently, some additions have been added to do reverse path for wire and sinker EDM. I've heard rumors of gear hobbing machines, too.
