I was assuming, since I don't see a Z feed under the table, and the fact that the whole overhead looks like it can be moved up and down on the dovetails we can see, that it does effectively have a Z even if we can't see a crank for it. Z max is listed as 12" which would (I assume) badly crowd a BS-1 sitting on the table. Pix's were taken by a non-machinist and could show more details and angles. But I wouldn't go so far as to call such guessing a SWAG. I was hoping to get a reply from some one more familiar with that particular machine.
