My judgement matches. Todays chassis grease in tubes to fit a small grease gun is easily 100x better stuff that we had in the middle 50's when I was doing lots of engine swap work, building at times some very good concealed weapons for the stoplight grand pris scene. Gave that up when I got my first ride in a 57 chevy with a duntov kit in it, 125 mph is 2nd gear. Like the gambler, ya gotta know when to fold 'em. > Any NLGIG 2 should do. I bought a Chinese 400lb rated lift in one strand, could be doubled, remade the brackets to fit Merican 2" sq tube, cut about 27" off one end and have it slung on binder straps from a well anchored 2x4 on the ceiling, got me just high enough to swing it over the mills table and set it down. Debating on taking it down, or running the binders on up another 8" just to keep me from banging up my scalp on it. Another week shot, I checked my outstanding orders and no chance of having anything before Friday. So I fired up the new Husky and gave my place a lick and promise, then went halfway around the block and found that band of grass and brush at the bottom of the hill and a favorite place to run into a copperhead if its not shaved, was about 3 feet high, so I knocked that down. Tap Cooper used to do that but he died a couple years back, at 86, making me the most senior of the neighborhood. I don't know if theres any advantage to that, more like makes me feel like I'm next. :-) That leaves Sue Cooper alone in that house but she has devoted grandkids in and out all the time. Very diabetic so she does need monitoring. > Not worth messing up the body getting something in > place. Stay safe. > Dave You too. Take care now.
