I think I paid with credit card. My initial contact was through Alibaba.
Later I've had many discussions with Donald Chen. His English is good enough
to get by although he might be using Google Translate. He can ask the
engineers or pass on questions to them.

I've used the 400W model in step/dir mode. The spindle 1.8kW is currently used
in 0-10V with direction input. One I finish a few things I'll switch it over
to the second port of the MESA 7i92H and change it to step/dir mode too. I
find when the spindle stops with 0-10V mode that it sometimes whines a bit. If
I twist on the spindle I can make it stop. I think it's just at some
indefinite position based on when the voltage input went below the motion
cut-off.

I had similar noise from the STMBL drive on DC Servos but never with the STMBL
on the AC servo. And I don't recall the 400W AC servo making that noise.

Also, I think when the spindle has stopped I may want to add a time delay and a
specific Spindle Motor Enable so that when it's stopped it's also not being
held in position. Not really needed in 0-10V mode. That might even be a
parameter. I should check.

The motor encoder output can be divided down. The step/dir can also be scaled
from the 2500 lines to whatever you want. I ran as if it were a 250 line
encoder (1000PPR) to match the US Digital (and later CUI) encoder. The CUI was
programmed with the AMT ViewPoint software to also produce 250 lines on the DC
servo.
