If it is duty cycle and direction - they are similar to the AMC drives I
have used on my little emco.   The pwm is pulse width modulation.  So -
think of a signal that is constant frequency - but varying on time..

In my setup - I am running pwm+dir from a mesa card to control the servo
drives.  As far as linuxcnc know - it acts the same as using +/-10v.
