Perhaps this is a dumb question but the AXIS header on my system says 2.7.14
and I'm running the MESA 7i92H.

So what possible reason would there be to upgrade to 2.8.x when there's a final
release? Is it some sort of major upgrade that makes the system run better for
a typical 4 axis mill?

Thanks
