Maybe a little bit off topic but Linuxcnc will be used then
manufacturing it. Should make tool for bending of sheet metal, reason is
it is quite many small bends around the edges and I need to try machine
on something. I figured there need to be a pressure pad holding it in
place while a punch bend it around a corner, this is rather simple but
do anybody know if it is possible to get a 90 degree bend then spring
back is accounted for?
First thing I think about is to add a small uphill leaning inside the
corner small enough not to bend the plate, tool will be simple but are
not sure how to calculate geometry. This will be me first bending tool
and would guess this is not a to uncommon problem then bending sheet metal.
I also have problem finding a spring, ideally it should be manufactured
in non conductive material straight or slightly bent 40mm long and have
a force of around 100N then pressed a few millimeters. I found plastic
lose quite much force after a while and even to some degrees years after
assembled, this is not good so I guess I have to stick to ordinary steel
springs. Searched resellers and even though far from ideal I could use
some of the standard if necessary. Might be able to find someone who
could harden a few nearby, even a simple old style black smith should be
able to do it. A little bit interested if anyone know about something
non conductive not losing force over time.
