Mentioned on the IRC. SKF (and maybe others) make standard 62-series
bearings with a built-in encoder.
The PPR isn't huge but for measuring (for example) motor speed they
look handy. Also potentially a good fit for some lathes, just because
the through-hole is large, even if not used as a bearing.
