Greetings all;

I just took an older off lease dell that I had installed our latest
buster respin on, named it TLM cause it going that little 7x12 lathe you
folks nickname the little monster when I was busting stuff in the
spindle drive with a 1hp treadmill motor spinning it. But that atom,
D525mw mobo seemed like it was getting slow in comparison to all the
other 4 core i5's, which I had bought a 4 pack of, and have swapping
them, one at a time, into the other intel atom machines. latency of
those i5's is great, I left this machine running latency-test w/o a bse
thread for about 40 hours, worst case was 12 microseconds.

The 3rd one however, while it had a lcnc install, and a copy of the
linuxcnc directory of the atom box installed, didn't want to boot when
moved to the shop. Showing a slowly cycling colors solid color screen
for longer than it should have taken it to fckeck a 240G SSD. A good ten
minutes.

Eventually it booted on the third powerup, but no net, ip a showed eno1
at the old machines .8 address. ???

There is not a dhcp server running here that I know of, everything has a
name, a copy of the hosts file and all machines have their static
address data in /e/n/i.

sudo restart networking, ip a showed no ipv4 or ipv6 address for eno1.
wash, rinse, repeat, worked correctly, 3 more times even.

Does anybody have a clue what could get in the way, then finally step
aside & let it work like its configured to do?

Thanks all.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
