It might be motor-pos-cmd. I am not at home at the moment to test. 



I believe you are correct, its very close to 0.00000 when homed. The other is 

about 6.5. Moved from home. the change is rapid, so it will take a quite small
scale/gain input.



Is the problem that the column is not square to the table top surface or not 
square to the Y or X slides? 

Since the gibs are (or were) fairly well adjusted, I'd say the former since 
that 

would include everything under it in the perceived angle error. I always tram 

in the middle of the X travel but there's a 425 oz motor hanging on the left 

end of the table so even there its preloaded on the left end. That IS the same 

dir that loose gibs would allow, so they'll need a recheck.  Thanks for asking 

as I hadn't considered that possibility. I guess I'm getting old.
