This sounds like a use-case for a Mesa 5i25 (PCI) or 6i25 (PCIe). These look like a parallel port card, but generate the steps onboard. Fully supported by LinuxCNC. However, after a quick look I was unable to find anyone with stock (chip shortage) Someone on eBay claims to have more than 10 of the 5i25, in Cyprus, but with a username ending _uk, with 24 sold. Which might be genuine, but looks unlikely. (https://www.ebay.com/itm/273723332693 if you are feeling lucky) Maybe the header cable is the thing to try first? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009JXK5UE < $4 and next day delivery. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1912 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
