I sometimes use a similar process, but entirely inside Fusion 360. You can create a "Canvas" from a photo in Fusion, and can then "Calibrate" the canvas using two known points to get the geometric scale correct. I then (manually) dot around the image with the "fit point spline" to get an outline. This works well when I have no access to the physical object, and has given good results. For example this brace to stop a crack growing was made using a photo that was emaled to me, plus a diameter measurement. https://photos.app.goo.gl/yvfoMn2kZji79Qsf9 -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1912 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
