Hello,
Is there a convention for 0 degrees in G18 and G19.

I think for G17, the  X+  is
accepted as the reference.(0  deg)

Is there a convention for G18 annd G19 planes?

I am guessing that G18  is measured from +Z,
and G19 measures from +Y.

I use the pattern 'XYZ' to decide this.

I just rotate thru the pattern
to get ZXY for G17 , YZX for G18,
and XYZ fro G19.

In the case of G17,
the ZXY pattern says that
the 'toolaxis' is  Z,
the plane is  XY,
and the reference for angles is +X.

In the case of G18,
the YZX pattern says that
the 'toolaxis' is  +Y,
the plane is  ZX,
and the reference for angles is +Z.

In the case of G19,
the XYZ pattern says that
the 'toolaxis' is  X,
the plane is  YZ,
and the reference for angles is +Y.

Is there any convention for this?

Why I ask:

I want lead in lines for circles,
from center to perimeter,
to be consistent in all 3 planes.

I think moving along the '0 degree'
would be good.

Thanks
TomP
