Hi,

I installed Debian 13 Trixie PREEMPT-RT ISO on an empty hard drive.
This was a totally interaction free install. I started it and left. When I
returned a few minutes later the login screen was showing. It took me a few
minutes to login. I had to guess the password.
LinuxCNC started up just fine and ran through the example NC file.

When I started Synaptic I clicked on reload and saw this message

The above, I just recently discovered, can be caused by the system clock being off several months. Check the date return on the system & compare to real time. My latest printer could not access the std ntp servers and would not set itself because the time error killed the network.  I run ntpsec (chrony would also do) on this machine so I edited /etc/ntp.conf to comment the pool lines, and added "server coyote.coyote.den" which is this machine, setting the time on that printer to my level 2 server.  Unforch the time is still wrong as its set to UTC not EST. And thats still far enough to kill any chance of dd-wrt in my router to service dhcp requests, so that printer still has no world net access. just local.  Gotta figure out where to fix that.  Helpful hints appreciated. printer is running armbian bullseye, editing /etc/timezone has no effect.  Can't find it in systemd.

Thanks all.
I clicked on Mark All Upgrades and clicked on Apply.

There are a few files updated and added.

Seems as though the reports are largely meaningless. ?

Everything seems to run just fine. I haven't tested it extensively but I
like it so far.

thanks
