The Raspberry Pi was a good deal some years ago. But today, I think you get better value with one of the “mini PCs”. The N100-based minis are very power efficient. Then in 2026, maybe you don’t want to even bother with doing hard-realtime on a PC and leave that to the FPGA-based controllers.
