Dennis,

I must admit to being extremely confused by the current EMF build
process, and what is being provided. I can see the repository at
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/emf/updates/2.8.x/base/R201301250546
, but I don't see any updates to
org.eclipse.simrel.build/emf-emf.b3aggrcon and I do not see either a 2.8.2
or a 2.8.x directory in modeling/emf/emf/downloads/drops.
The WTP build currently consumes zips from
modeling/emf/emf/downloads/drops/2.8.1/R201209170436 - will zips like those
be provided for 2.8.2 for SR2? Or do we need to quickly change our build
process to consume the 2.8.2 in the repository? We also currently link to
the emf-xsd-SDK-2.8.1.zip for developers and users to download, so if the
zips will not be provided, we will need to update that information as well.
And if the emf-emf.b3aggrcon is not updated, then 2.8.1 is what will
be part of the simultaneous release and the EPPs and all of that. I know
your last day to update that is on Monday, 2/11, but since WTP has never
built on top of, nor tested with, EMF 2.8.2, we would like as much time as
possible to try it out. (And report any issues we might find and get them
fixed.) When do you expect to update that file?
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. WTP is
quite concerned with the current state of EMF for Juno SR2.

Sincerely,

- Carl Anderson
WTP Build guy

Hi David,

We'll have this in our base for RC3 (and RC4, and SR2) ... but sure
to let me know if there's more coming! Our final build (if we need
      it) is tomorrow, Wednesday.

Yes, this is the right one. The latest we have.

Didn't look like the other the other update sites (for core, xcore)
had any updates yet, so assuming those are all created from same
base. ... just thought I'd send this email, in case I was missing
      something.

Yes, we will build against R201301250546. Our Emf core RC4 build is on
Friday, Xcore comes on Wednesday with a new version.

Thanks a lot for asking and best regards,
Dennis.

      Thanks,

      Anthony,

Sorry, we missed the previous window, but Dennis intends to
contribute 2.8.2 for the base and the core (and XSD and Xcore as
      well).

      Regards,
      Ed

      Hi Team,

I cannot find an update to this thread. There definitely is an EMF
2.8.2 Juno SR2 from what I can recall.

I still only see 2.8.1 and 2.9.0 in
      http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/downloads/?project=emf

      Cheers...

We in the Platform are hoping to finish our Juno SR2 contribution
soon (ideally, our RC3 build which we are doing "early", tomorrow,
1/25) and I just realized I hadn't checked up on our EMF pre-req.

We are using the contribution at

      .../modeling/emf/emf/updates/2.8.x/base/R201209110500

And from looking on the file system, that is the most recent one, in
      that 2.8.x directory.

So ... just wanted to be proactive and confirm that no further
changes are expected from EMF for SR2?

      Or, are there?

      Much thanks, _______________________________________________
