No idea either. :( Maybe the differences lie in:

`delete-trailing-whitespace' docstring:

    A formfeed is not considered whitespace by this function.

But I don't know what's defined as a formfeed.

I thought i chose `nuke-trailing-whitespace' only for its name sounds
better.
