I've submitted my current version of emms-mpd.el to the EMMS CVS repo. I renamed it from `emms-mpc.el', since it should eventually support connecting to mpd itself via network processes, without the need of mpc. If you were using my work, you'll need to s/mpc/mpd/ as appropriate.
