Hey, While playing about with emms-tag-editor, I noticed a few bugs, some quite serious, some not so.
The first one is non-serious, tag names for OGG should be upper-case, not lower case. This is what vorbiscomment shows after emms-tag-editor has written a tag: | tracknumber=01 | album=Donncha Ó Briain | title=The Maple Leaf -- The Man Of Aran | artist=Donncha Ó Briain But it should look like: | TRACKNUMBER=01 | ALBUM=Donncha Ó Briain | TITLE=The Maple Leaf -- The Man Of Aran | ARTIST=Donncha Ó Briain This should be trivial to fix by uppercasing the corresponding tags in emms-tag-editor-tag-ogg. See http://www.xiph.org/vorbis/doc/v-comment.html for details. Some programs get confused by the lower case tags. I also noticed that tags get lost (you write a tag, then it is no longer there), but I'm unable to figure out why they get lost, nor do I have a good test case. It is most evident when you edit many tunes. Sometimes, emms-tag-editor decides to rename files, this is *DANGROUS*, please do not do that without asking the user. I have already lost a few files of this, and a few more might have been renamed and gone into another folder; see the following bug. Another thing with mass editing of tunes, when you have many tunes ready for editing, and you start populating fields, emms-tag-editor will decide that the first track is the _last_ track, and fillout the first tracks details with the last ones. Then when you sometimes get the previous bug, where it tries to rename the file according to the value of (emms-track-name TRACK). And you get real mess. _______________________________________________ Emms-help mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/emms-help
