(emms-cache-reset) - add a file of your choosing - check to see that `info-playing-time' is _not_ in the cache for that track - play the file (a few seconds should be enough) (emms-cache-save) - check to see if `info-playing-time' has appeared in the cache file for the track ...let's see where that gets us.
