I'm not aware of any method in EMMS that could do this. I'd guess that VLC does a MusicBrainz or freedb query with a disc id to get metadata for the current disc. There is no such mechanism in EMMS. Maybe some EMMS players could do the same and supply metadata back to EMMS, but how to do that I have no idea. -- Petteri
