Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed reading The Parasite. Just a few days ago, I 
was reading Serres’ The Natural Contract, where he does bring up “noise” in the 
sense of “battle” in the French word noise, and by extension jamming, when 
analyzing the painting Dueling on Quicksand.

It also reminds me of Mara Mills’ classic work on “Deaf Jam,” where noise 
corrupts the communication system.
