----------empyre- soft-skinned space---------------------- Mine Kaylan works as a senior lecturer in the area of Performance and Visual Art at the University of Brighton, UK. She is (hopefully) in the last stages of a PhD at Goldsmiths College, UoLOndon. She is a Performance Artist and Visual Theatre maker. Most of her work has had questions about the 'cultural politics of live exchange', at its heart. She is increasingly interested in 'performance as social action' and in 'poetry in action' - both at the same time!
At present, she is planning some participatory, durational and impromptu (i.e. flash) 'dervish spinnings' in public spaces with 'BYO headwear and/or DIY 'sculptures on the head'.
