channels use SCTP, which is (according to the Book of Knowledge
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stream_Control_Transmission_Protocol>) a
message-based reimagining of TCP, including reliable data transfer.

According to this: http://www.webrtc.org/chrome#TOC-Data-Channels- and
this: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-rtcweb-data-channel there is
also a concept of nonreliable data channels.

So try to request a nonreliable data channel and see what happens!
