I think the built in devtools actually disable a lot of JIT optimizations
when you open the script in the debug tab. Unfortunately it doesn't tell
you this. You just get a massive slowdown if you click on a script in the
debug tab. I think one relevant bug is:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1000520 (there are others
too).
I've also noticed that asm.js validation fails if you have the devtools
open on pageload.
This happens on nightly too.
