Hi all, in current Emscripten incoming branch, there's a cool new feature that allows profiling the whole Emscripten toolchain in action as it runs through your project.
This enables keeping track of compiler performance itself and where time is spent during the build. The feature is available in the current incoming branch. If you've got a second, please do try it out and see what kind of data it generates for your project. Here's two example outputs from the profiler: http://clb.demon.fi/dump/hello_world_optimized_profile.html http://clb.demon.fi/dump/bananabread.html The graphs are chronological "swimlanes" that advance from left to right as time passes during the build. Documentation for the profiler is available at https://s3.amazonaws.com/mozilla-games/emscripten/docs/incoming/html/docs/optimizing/Profiling-Toolchain.html If there's something that looks unrealistic or odd, please share the results. Perhaps it can lead to discovering some optimization opportunities to speed up the compiler.
