Possibly some of sdl2_mixer.py doesn't run out of the box on windows. I see we call configure and make there, so it might depend on mingw or something else. It might be good to make the file independent of configure and make, and contain just manual compilation commands, but that would take more work, both initially and to maintain it when sdl2_mixer changes.
