I'm looking at JS code size improvements for the wasm backend path now. Some initial improvements have already landed, like
https://github.com/emscripten-core/emscripten/pull/9064 https://github.com/emscripten-core/emscripten/pull/9047 and soon hopefully https://github.com/emscripten-core/emscripten/pull/9072 These changes do change internal and undocumented APIs, so in theory you might notice them. As always with such changes a build with ASSERTIONS (including a normal -O0 build) should have clear error messages.
