This change affects macOS and Linux users of emsdk. Windows users will continue to download zip archives.
Making this switch reduces download times and massively speeds up extraction times. Hopefully this change will be completely transparent to most folks but we thought it worth mentioning here in case there is any unexpected fallout. One group of users who might be affected are those who use the `tot` version of emsdk but don't update their emsdk checkout. If you want to continue to see new `tot` versions you will need to make sure you update emsdk itself. See: https://github.com/emscripten-core/emsdk/pull/1281 And: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/emscripten-releases/+/4880259 cheers, sam -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "emscripten-discuss" group.
