TEAP has provisions for channel binding. So far as I can tell, it's not implemented anywhere. The implicit consensus of EMU and implementors is that channel bindings aren't needed. This should be brought up at the next WG meeting, and perhaps needs a larger discussion with the ADs. This looks to me like similar issues around Diameter vs RADIUS. For a long time, each RADIUS RFC had to have disclaimers about why this was done in RADIUS and not in Diameter instead. After a while, everyone realized that all of the text was the same, and that requirement was dropped.
