[DOWNLOAD PDF VERSION]

Following the success at COP19 providing video coverage of side events, IISD Reporting Services is delighted to be offering UNFCCC COP20 side event organizers the opportunity to hire our team to create and distribute video coverage of your side event.

We are offering a video coverage package that includes:

  • Providing one videographer and one scriptwriter to attend your side event and provide video wrap-up coverage;
  • Producing a 4-6 minute, high-definition video at the end of the event, containing footage of the event, including speakers and discussions, as well as interviews with panel members and members of the audience, as appropriate;
  • Guaranteeing inclusion of the side event in the written version of IISD’s side events publication, ENB on the Side (ENBOTS);
  • Uploading the completed video within 24 hours of the event conclusion;
  • Featuring the video of your event on the IISD RS website and IISD’s Facebook pages;
  • Hosting the video on two high-speed streaming servers (Vimeo and YouTube);
  • Distributing video link to ENB’s estimated 125,000 subscribers through e-mail lists including Climate-L;
  • Providing a license to use the video for your own non-commercial purposes; and
  • Creating a prominent link to our coverage of this meeting from the IISD RS website homepage at http://www.iisd.ca.

We are also able to include footage that you provide from the field or your past videos that demonstrates the talking points in your side event, as appropriate.

As the publisher of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin, IISD RS is recognized for its objectivity and issue expertise in the field of international environment and sustainable development policy. We have been reporting from climate change negotiations and side events since COP1 in 1995, and this objectivity and issue expertise extend to our video coverage service.

Video coverage of your side event will help ensure that its key messages and outcomes are broadcast to the climate policy community both at the meeting and around the globe in a succinct and vivid manner. You can see examples of our past video coverage at our archive http://www.iisd.ca/videos/ or by visiting our Vimeo channel here: https://vimeo.com/channels/iisdrs.

IISD is currently contracting for video coverage of side events in Lima on a first-come first-served basis and only offering video coverage of two side events per day. Please contact us immediately to receive a quote for coverage of your side event.
