Hello,

I am considering to write a patch that makes encfsctl more suitable
for batch processing. More concretely, I want to add the option to
read the password from a file (or fd) and encode filenames (rather
than just decode).

Would this be accepted into the main trunc? And would you prefer to
have the password read from a file or an fd?

Background: I am using --reverse to make backups with rsync. To make
the rsync output useful, I want to pipe it to encfsctl decode (so that
I can see which files are copied), and to allow filters to work, I
would like to automatically pipe my excluded file list through
encfsctl encode.

Best,
