I am using ubuntu 9.04 - encfs 1.4.2-2

I have made a separate partition (30 gb) where I put the encfs directories.

I can mount this partition in normal ways, both by manual -and auto mount.

When I then run encfs in order to mount the encfs directories following
happens:

~$ encfs /media/disk/work_b3/.ncf /media/disk/work_b3/ncf
EncFS Password:
fuse: mountpoint is not empty
fuse: if you are sure this is safe, use the 'nonempty' mount option
fuse failed. Common problems:
  - fuse kernel module not installed (modprobe fuse)
  - invalid options -- see usage message
~$

I have used encfs without problems for a long time, but now I have
installed a newer ubuntu OS system in order to be maximum up to date.

I now switch between the two OS, and tries to mount the encfs
directories from any of the OS, have both tried from kde4 and gnome, but
nothing works any longer.

I have tried to use encfs on my home directory on some test directories
(~/.crypt and ~/crypt), and it works, but it is not completely stable
all the time (I have only tried a couple of times).

Any clues - thanks in advance
