Dear list, I'm having filename encoding problems with EncFS 1.5 on my Mac OS X 10.5 using MacFUSE 2.0.3.
When I create files in Terminal with filenames that contain "special characters" from the Latin character sets (i.e. é, ñ), Finder is unable to open them ("The document "test-ñ.txt" could not be opened. The file does not exist."). Strangely, filenames that contain Cyrillic or characters from other exotic character sets don't have this problem; so only Latin special characters. This is only a problem when creating these files with Terminal. If you create such files with Finder itself, there is no problem. I created a regular paranoia mode EncFS drive; I tested other options and that made no difference. Only not encrypting the filenames "fixed" the problem, but I need the filename encryption of course. Hope you can help me, -Koen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
