Can you write to the /tmp/ftp/.work/ directory?

That is can the curlftpfs send the written file to the remote system?

If curlftpfs can not write the file you put in /tmp/ftp/.work/
then encfs has no chance of writing a file either! 

That is what the debug error seems to be saying!
