I need to use an external drive formatted with NTFS as the lower directory for encfs, but since ntfs doesn't understand the concept of executable files, every file is treated as executable by ntfs-3g, and consequently by EncFs.
I have tried the expert configuration, but saw no way of achieving this. Is there a hidden option that will let be do it? If not, can someone familiar with the source code provide a hint where I could implement such functionality?
