Didn't notice this reply until now.
Bingo! The only file that had the correct info in it was on the desktop.
Trashed all the rest and synced in one direction and I'm back in business.
Can't thank you enough Mark.
In concluding, I suspect the source was grive corrupting the fs. Went back
to using gsync(awesome potential there[1]) without any problems thereafter.
I should also mention that given the trickery I had to perform to get grive
working on my system it is also likely that it's not the grive project
itself but rather my implementation of the software that got mangled in
translation.
Thank you once again for such a great piece of software. My business would
not be safe without it.
