Thank you Bert and Martin for the info. I was also referring to whether
intiatives to provide economic support to women (i.e jobs, credit, skills
training etc) and improve their financial position ( thereby lessening
economic dependence on the male abuser...a situation that is common in this
part of the world), has any appreciable results.  The crisis center for
women here is trying this approach, but the program is yet too new to be
studied for impact.
