LOOKING FOR FRAMEWORK FOR PARTNERSHIPS WITH DONORS

Dear colleagues

In Guyana, some of us believe there is a link between men's consumption of
alcohol and the level of violence against women, especially domestic
violence.

Does anyone here have any policies on who you take donations from?
Should an NGO which is struggling to pay bills, salaries and so on accept a
generous donation from a liquor company?

Does anyone have any framework for partnerships which could work say between
liquor companies and anti-VAW NGO, (or a tobacco company and a cancer
awareness NGO?)

Help please!

Thanks
Vidya

SEEKING INFORMATION ON GENDERED CRIMES AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

Hello, I have what is probably a very naive question. I am writing a
rhetoric paper about the U.S. relative failure to adopt the "Women's
Rights as Human Rights" campaign, and am examining whether crimes that
are considered human rights violations in other (particularly
developing) countries are only considered individual crimes, not human
rights violations in the U.S. An example is rape. Can anyone tell me
countries they know where this crime (or other gendered crimes) are
clearly labeled human rights violations?

Thank you,

Victoria DeFrancisco
