Patch Set 1: thanks a lot for that. during my tests I thought to myself how come I didn't do it. By the way I have a long list of pros for annotated CDI. I know xml based DI is more adequate for field solutions as we can change the behaviour on site, which is *very* powerful stuff yet I'm not sure if that's neccessary. maybe we can combine the two approaches - let the xml override the annotation behaviour?
