yep. I have built one of my web-apps upon the two rails-engines and a 
personalized rss-feed is a must sooner or later, so I'll have to implement it 
anyway. I'll open a ticket in the bug-system for http basic auth support and 
will attach a patch to it as soon as I am done (unless someone else already has 
done it by then). Does that sound ok?

Do you mean HTTP basic authentication? In which case I don't think so,
although we may look at it at work at some point.
