Hi, Mariappan!

Tricky questions but here we go:

First of all, we must keep in mind that adjectives describes nouns,
adverbs modify verbs, adverbs and adjectives, and that grammarian
usually drives us crazy.

In the first sentence, THE CHILD FELL DOWN FROM A GREAT HEIGHT, great
is an adjective of quantity. It describes the height.

In the second sentence, HE WAS ABSENT LAST WEEK, last is an adjective.

In the third sentence, MY UNCLE LIVES IN THE NEXT HOUSE, next is a
simple descriptive adjective . Demonstrative adjectives are "this,
that, those, these..." ok? What may be causing some confusion is that
the class of numerals known as ordinals also have the function of
demonstrative adjectives, like in this example:

The first regular provincial newspapers appear to have been created in
the last decade of the seventeenth century, and by the middle of the
eighteenth century almost every important provincial town had its
local organ.—Bancroft.
