Indeed, you have freedom not to learn English, so do I. To be fair, the English world has a great appeal for its glaring information. If we want to know the state of the art in certain field, we can be always rewarded for your English skill. It is also the reason for you to learn J2EE.
So, the problem is not why we should learn English, but why we should spend much so time learning Chinese-style politics over and over again with the absolutely same content for a very very long duration. It's just like a hypnotism. The problem is not English or Chinese. In fact, most people like me are not familiar to English, but also not familiar to Chinese tradition. It is the result of overflowing of pragmatism. All we learned and obtained is knowledge, but knowledge is not all. We have lose the spirit of our culture. Our ancients seem to have a better understanding than us. Their "Major Published Works" ;-) emphasize the importance of "be a perfect man" and even despise the techniques and tricks, which are considered to be harm to one's spirit. We are the productions under our "marvelous" education system with one aim -- you may acquire lots of knowledge but you should not have your own idea towards the life or the world because those are danger for the rule of fool ruler who promise us a happiness future. We all live in the illusion of future. -- Just a practice... sincerely welcome to point out any grammar error.
