Adventure / Venture There really is very little difference between the two words. Nowadays "venture" is more commonly used of a business activity or investment which involves a certain amount of risk, while "adventure" is more commonly used of a physical activity, such as mountain-climbing, or whitewater rafting.
"Adventure" is seldom used as a verb and "venture", as a noun, is largely restricted to business/financial undertakings. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "English Learner's Cafe" group.
