Dear friends,
I've always wondered what language dogs speak.

My dog is a she. She seems to understand some Portuguese, English, Spanish
and even some French. She's undoubtlessly a polyglot.

All the barking might have a meaning I suppose.

My dog understands that all words with 'inha' suffix is good to her, even
though the word may not be that good.

My mom taught her 'bonitinha' Portuguese for 'cute' and every time I call
her 'feinha' (very ugly) or 'nojentinha' (disgusting), she likes it just
because it ends with 'inha'. And I also call her 'cadela' (ambiguous meaning
: both 'bitch' and 'female dog' in Portuguese) and she never knows the real
meaning. I have so much fun!

Of course any word that I speak with a deep voice, she gets nervous. I love
my dog. She's 16 year old. Most of my life I've spent with her.

Do you have any interesting story or speculation on what language dogs
speak?

All the best,

Josney
