My opinion on this theory is divided into two contrasting perspectives:
1. Fact that the fittest will survive even holds good today. Unlike a stone
age man, we may not have to have a physical fight to survive. But we
definitely have to fight/compete for our jobs, love, attention, good
education, etc. So world is getting increasingly competitive either at the
level of individuals, organizations or nations.
2. Why this theory could be invalid? There are enough resources on this
earth for everyone. We have to remind ourselves that cooperation and helping
each other can take us to greater levels of success.

So while competition brings out the best in us, it should be balanced with
teamwork.

Regards,
Raghu
