I set external program like this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\winhlp32.exe -k%SelText% C:\Progra~1\MSHelp\win32sdk.hlp Problems: 1. I can either run a help file with searched keyword (with -k %SelText%) or open its index page (-k option ommited). I can't have both of these (if I use -k option and I want to open index page of help file, I have to select any text first) . Alt+F1 help does not have this shortcoming. 2. If I open help file as an extenal app and then click back on PSPad window, it freezes for about 15 seconds (reproduced on two different PCs). I don't have this with Alt+F1 help. I use 2155. So I support guest's request. Reason: two help files set for C++: one for C++ language reference and other for WinAPI reference. I use both at the same time. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
