Carriage-return/linefeed is a line delimiter. Normally, PsPad should see this and automatically adapt its interpretation of the file format (CR/LF -> DOS, LF -> UNIX, CR -> Mac). It strips the line endings of the text file before showing it. If you do not see strange characters at the end of each line, PsPad's line detection is OK. To save it back to disk in another format, just use the menu "Format" and set it to the convention that suits you. You will get CR/LF, LF or CR at the end of each line. If you do not want ANY line delimiter (which means that you will have one monstruously long line), you can do so with regular expression replacement, from the end of the file in reverse direction.
