Remove .killspam from e-mail address to make it valid ;-) Sorry to post yet another topic on charsets, but I can't seem to find the relevant info in other posts: I have certain files that are encoded in UTF-8, but without the leading BOM (UTF-8 header). PSPad v4.3.3. (2092) will open these files in ANSI mode and no matter what I do in Format menu, will help me convert the UTF-8 codes to printable characters. Since I deal a lot with such files, this is a major drawback of PSPad. What does the Option "Ident.bytes in UTF-8 coding" setting do then? If I remove the BOM, I can never edit the file in UTF-8 later on? Am I missing a setting / command here? How can I make PSPad show me UTF-8 codes as printables in such files? Note that I'm mixing slavic latin, slavic cyrillic and western fonts in the same file. Eventually more encodings will be required, but UTF-8 should be able to handle them all just fine. If I might have a suggestion: Notepad++ has a very nice feature for just my case. It's called "Display as UTF-8" valid only for ANSI encoded files.
